from the heart. His
methods are demanding and rigorous. Often creating
several dozen versions of an image, he works intensely to refine the mood
of a piece. His mastery of the medium gives him a creative panache while his
sensitivity to his subject infuses his work with a mystique. Arjuna's work
represents a unique fusion of the occidental and the oriental.
He blends the
latest technology of the West with the aesthetic
sensibilities of the East. His journeys to places of magic and mystery
around the world, including Tibet, India, Nepal, the Himalayas, Bali, Java,
France, Mexico, California, and Hawaii have given him a rich repertoire
and a vibrant palette. Influences of Maxfield Parish and the British painter
David Hockney, have been ascribed to Arjuna's rich use of colors and his
unabashed commitment to the fantastic. He currently resides in Malibu,
California.
